The entire Ross and Boysen Families are heartbroken to announce the passing of Anne-Marie Ross on September 9, 2022. She was 49 years old.

Anne-Marie fought courageously for almost two years after being diagnosed in late 2020 with Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) caused by an extremely rare Exon-18 deletion of EGFR.

Anne-Marie lived her entire life with a passion and steady focus on health & wellness and exercise, always being fit and being a vegetarian for more than 25 years. Yet, as we have learned over the course of this difficult journey, Asian women who have never smoked like Anne-Marie are six times more likely than the rest of population to be at risk of NSCLC.

Furthermore, despite being the No.1 leading cause worldwide - by far - of cancer deaths, lung cancer sadly remains one of the most underfunded and poorly studied cancers.

This is a cruel and unrelenting disease which we hope science and medicine will one day vanquish.

Your tax-deductible donation made in Anne-Marie's memory will benefit LUNGevity Foundation, the leading private provider of research funding for lung cancer. We are making our personal commitment to help them raise money to support their vital work—will you please help us?

LUNGevity Foundation along with EGFR Resisters are firmly committed to having an immediate impact on increasing quality of life and survivorship of people with lung cancer by accelerating research into early detection and more effective treatments, as well as providing community, support, and education for all those affected by EGFR mutant lung cancer.

Funds raised will go towards identifying and funding new research awards that are first and foremost patient-driven, patient-funded, and patient-led.

As examples, these awards totalling $200,000 each for a two-year term were funds raised exclusively by EGFR Resisters their families and friends.

Please join us in our efforts to honor Anne-Marie and stop lung cancer—the leading cancer killer—now!

Thank you for your support.
