Thank you for joining us for Breathe Deep TOGETHER 2023! We're committed to ensuring your event experience is hassle-free and enjoyable. Below is our FAQ section, but please feel welcome to contact us anytime at together@lungevity.org with any questions you have.
GENERAL
How can I participate? If you live in or are visiting Boston, Chicago, DC, Kingston, PA, or NYC, register to join us in person, or register for Breathe Deep Anywhere and walk virtually in your hometown on the morning of Saturday, November 4. For detailed information and directions for those in-person events, visit the individual event pages.
How do I tune in to the live broadcast on event day? Register for Breathe Deep Anywhere to connect with the lung cancer community across the nation on November 4 as we walk as one! There is an in-ear experience for safe, easy listening during your walk and a visual experience to watch photos being shared live. Visit Breathe Deep Anywhere to learn more!
Which cities will hold in-person events this fall?

What is the check-in process? Please stop by the check-in booth to receive your free event t-shirt. It will be helpful at registration to know if you registered before or after October 1, 2023. Those who raised $50 by August 15 and earned their long-sleeved shirt will pick it up at the check-in booth.
Can I participate if there isn’t an event in my city or if I am uncomfortable joining in person? Yes! Register for “Breathe Deep Anywhere,” our virtual walk option to walk in the comfort of your hometown with friends and family. If you have trouble registering or need your password reset, please email us at together@lungevity.org.
Is it free to register? Yes, registration is free whether you are participating virtually or in person. Only those who registered by September 30 are guaranteed to receive a 2023 Breathe Deep TOGETHER t-shirt to wear on event day!
How do I register? Head over to our main page at LUNGevity.org/together and scroll down to select the city you are participating from. If you don’t see your city listed, select “Breathe Deep Anywhere” and follow the prompts to sign up. If you are having trouble getting registered or need your password reset, please email us at together@lungevity.org
How do I submit my tribute photo/message? Please send the name of your loved one (note if it is in honor or memory), a photo, your city, and a brief message to together@lungevity.org. Tributes will be shared on the Tribute Page, social media, and event program book.
Can I volunteer at Breathe Deep TOGETHER? Yes! If you can volunteer in Boston, Chicago, DC, NEPA, or NYC, please register for your preferred city and select 'Yes' on the volunteer question and select the positions that interest you. Additional information will be sent via email.
How do I get my free Breathe Deep TOGETHER t-shirt? Only those who registered by September 30 will be guaranteed a Breathe Deep TOGETHER t-shirt to wear on event day. It will be an important piece in our opening ceremony. Breathe Deep Anywhere participants will be mailed to the address given at registration. Those walking in person will pick up their shirt during event-day check-in.
FUNDRAISING & DONATIONS
Is fundraising required? Fundraising is not required to participate, but it is encouraged! Lung cancer survivors, caregivers, and advocates are teaming TOGETHER to fund remarkable lung cancer research, education, and support breakthroughs. We hope you will be part of the community building a future where no one dies of lung cancer. Connect with our peer-to-peer manager, Nanette, at nschlarmann@lungevity.org if you have any questions!
Where can I send check donations? Check donations can be sent to P.O. Box 754, Chicago, IL 60690. Please include this form and/or your name and “Breathe Deep TOGETHER.”
TEAMS
How can I form or join a team? The more people we have united for Breathe Deep TOGETHER, the louder our voice will be! Contact Nanette at nschlarmann@lungevity.org for help in creating or joining a team.
How can my company participate, form a team, or sponsor Breathe Deep TOGETHER? Your company can participate in several ways, such as forming one (or several) teams, sponsoring the event to gain nationwide visibility, and matching donation fundraising challenges! Please contact us at together@lungevity.org to discuss the best way for your company to become involved, or visit our corporate engagement page to learn more.
WEBSITE HELP
I registered for an in-person walk but want to switch to virtual (or vice versa). If you are registered for Boston, Chicago, DC, NEPA, or NYC and want to change from in-person to virtual or virtual to in-person, email us at together@lungevity.org, and we will gladly switch you!
